Single hooks for spoons....

I am sure this thread will spiral out of control before too long but I was wondering if anyone out there had a specific style and size of single hook that they prefer for spoons in the 1/4 oz range. I am not looking to debate single vs treble or the ethics of using spoons in the tribs, I just was wondering what people used for single hooks. I searched the topic and did not get anything that was specific to brand, shank length or size. Looking other places in the internets suggested siwash hooks, found them on fishusa but they were large sizes (4 & 2 I believe) and that was all I could find there. Currently have eagle claw wide gaps size 6 on them but have not fished them yet. Any thoughts would be appreciate.

I Used nothing but barbless siwash hooks on a recent pike trip as barbs were illegal and trebles were more likely to injure fish we were releasing. Before that trip I never used a single hook on a spoon and you couldn't make me, but they produced flawlessly! It's all I'll use now. You want a siwash style or similar with a gap about as wide as the spoon.

Do you leave the split ring on, or do you take the split ring off and attach the hook directly to the spoon and crimp the open end of the Siwash?

I leave the split ring on. Never had any problems.

Krokodile spoons come with a single and a treble. I switch to singles in the summer to help with weeds.
