Johnstown PA

Anyone know where to fish for smallies in or near to Johnstown? I am new to the area, and grew up fishing rivers for smallies. I know the Stoney Creek and Conemaugh River run through here, but are the fishable?

parts of the stoney out in hollsopple has good abundance of smallies near where the water from the que meets up close to first miss aka north american hoganis. I hear of people doing well past the point stadium but I havent fished it yet there my self.

It's right outside of Hollsopple Pa.  Like Kyler said look for First Mississippi Corp..  If you can't find that it's between Hollsopple and Camp Harmony.  Anyone local can get you there.  I've never fished the river there but it's on my to do list shortly.

sorry carpin i didnt get back to you. Its not to hard to find. The que is sometimes considered the dead sea. I fish its tribs and the spill way more then anything with some good results. if you have a gps here is an address that gets you around the dam to the camp grounds. Quemahoning Dam Road • Hollsopple, PA 15935
