Cranberry Glade

Is it possible to launch a boat there, or are the weeds completly choked out? I have a small jon boat with trolling motor.

Might be tough. I put my canoe in there, sometime with my trolling motor. But in the summer, I usually just end up paddling because the weeds choke in...

No doubt it's choked full of weeds... But the water temp there is usually alot cooler there then say at the river or any surrounding lake due to the fact it's a spring fed lake...  If anything i'd go in the eairly AM or in the PM/Night hours...  I haven't made a trip up there yet this year since the spring for some pictures...  Anyone do good at all?  I mostly toss topwaters and sub surface raps and frogs...

I swear the drawdown actually made the weeds worse there, if that was possible.

I went there a few years ago with an 11' and a trolling motor. We caught almost no fish, the weeds were horrible, and it's not very deep. Imagine a pool table covered with weeds and about 3-4' of water. For me, one trip was enough.

If you know how to fish weeds and can deal with fishing from shore grab your knee boots or waders and go throw and you'll probably catch the biggest/heaviest largemouth of your life just sayin'  and possibly a very large pike...  It's a great lake and there are huge bass, crappie, pike in there just gotta go at the right time and know how to fish it.  IMO, it's not a boat lake unless you're in a Canoe or even just a float...
