Thanks much for the well wishes. Very much appreciated. Next week at this time we'll be there - on the stream as from what I hear sunset occurs around 1030pm. Days start at 6:00am. Lots of fishing, shore lunches, and just enjoying the time with my son. Still cannot imagine what it will be like but we're ready to go - especially after working 22 hours straight this past wknd on a storm.

Pops told me when I was a young lad who thought he knew all there was to know about this world........ "Never, ever give up on your dreams. There will be times in your life when that's all ya got."  He was so right......... and I never gave up on this.

He always dreamed of going there - alot of this is for him.

So we finally made it here. As I'm waiting for my son to wake up at the hotel, I thought I'd send a note as I watch the float planes take off. Flight in was amazing..clear skies...glaciers,snow,and just truly amazing scenery and mountains. Today some more touring and tomorrow we take a float plane to the Yenta River. Right now it's 6am, sun is just starting to rise and I'm sitting along Lake Hood watching the planes lleave for wherever... Can't wait to head in to the Yenta...... and the Alaskan beer is the best!!!!!!!!

So we're back in Anchorage after spending the most amazing week of my life. Silver, chums, pinks... and those beautiful rainbows! Pulling the 14' jet boat around deadfalls on Little Lake Creek and running upriver to cast for silver, the bears, eagles..... I just cannot describe it all. Even threw a spey rod and learned the snap T. As it was swinging down I hooked a silver going the other way. My word!!!!! - all but ripped the rod out of my hands. Yesterday morning as my son and I were casting along a seam for the final time, I had tears coming down my face with the beauty of it all. Between him and I we have close to 1000 pics and video's. Truly, truly a dream come true. Today - we'll be doing some hiking and getting some gifts for home. Flight home @ 11:30 pm tonight. Alaska is an amazing place!!!!!! Now I just gotta find a way to get back..Think I'll call my wife and tell her to sell it all and come north!
