felt replacements

I found a pair of brand name felt wading shoes at a yard sale.  They are in excellent shape but they did have the felts replaced.  Whoever did them left the felts way oversize on the sole of the boot.  It does not interfere in any way but I would like to get them to where they fit the sole better.

Does anyone know what tool works best to grind them down?  I have a dremel with various stones and cutters if that will work.  I also thought about using my belt sander with a heavy grit paper.

Have never done it myself, but an angle grinder would probably do the trick. If you have any 18 volt power tools; most companies make o.e for 18 volt. Use a thin carbide metal cutting blade

A hack saw blade may work well also, but will take a little more elbow grease....

Try the thin cutting disc on a dremel
