change of plans

after work i decided to stay up and tie up some monstrous creation.  took like 40 minutes to tie and i wanted to wake up early to give it some work before the sun came up.

fished it for about 5 minutes and it swam nice.  then all of a sudden wham.  i sent into a log or a rock or some crap.  since the place i was had some pretty sketchy wading i broke it off.  crap 40 minute fly for 5 minutes of fishin'.  i put on a smaller fly to see what was doin'.

you know me i don't care what i catch, but i had my 7wt switch and pan fish just weren't what i was looking for, so i packed it in.  went to a smaller stream with a smaller rod and it was on.

then i caught the most lazy carp i've ever hooked.  i hooked it and it saw over beside me and gave up.

Even the change of plans seems like a good plan to me.

i said sketchy not swift.  i was fishing in a pool with a water fall going around it.  its hard to explain.  and if i put up a pic of where i was it'd be very easy to find the spot, and i like not seeing anyone else there.  but where i caught the crappie was in the slow pool
