Good job man fish number 1 5 and 8 would be swimming in by bait tank if I was you. Carp are a blast on 4lb. That's a gorgeous long ear sunfish, don't believe I've ever caught one of those.

I am no expert but I do believe that last picture is a pumpkinseed. The pectoral fin on a longear is blunt and more rounded.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The closer we adhere to the Holy Bible and the US Constitution (as it was written) the closer we get to the model that made America great. The great American experiment worked, human nature just got in the way.

Some of those small carp would make good flathead bait, or is it illegal to use them for bait.

Technically only legal as cut bait but I won't tell if you don't tell. There's already carp in the rivers so it ain't gonna hurt nuthin

I think you can't move the fish to a different water source. If you were to catch them in the river you would be allowed to use them. They are just worried about some of the different invasive species of aquatic plants getting moved to different bodies of water

I too used to slide down in the summertime too back in the early 90's. Good ole time. I always caught a lot of fish on peanut butter doughball there. There are some huge carp there for sure. The far corner always proved to be more of a hot spot than the center for carp. Caught more bass in the center where the water flowed. Seen many people lose rods that flew off the wall to carp though.

we walked out to the spillway one time, its about 5 and a half feet deep, so if you lost you rod you could probably get it back. And there isnt enough water flowing down the spillway, although it does sound pretty fun to do
