I find that pink is a staple in the lower river most times than not....

db, when I was guiding salmon I would tie a color by the hundreds at a time.. It was so weird.. One year it would be Pink, the next year they would ONLY hit Chartruse..
The 2 things that were a staple though.. Coho = Red / Trout = orange..

now I'm off to slay some crappies..

Where's mine? I just got back from looking at a job where I have to bust out lots of lath and plaster, insulate , then rock , trim and paint. So I'm not gonna feel sorry. Besides, getting covered in dust is the first thing you do in those voodoo ceremonies like RT was doing to bring 'em on in. The whiter you turn ,and the more you sneeze,  the more fish we'll have Sat. morn. One of these days we'll have to have a fish fry. I've got some good 'gill and slab water near me.

1. tuna, you should know by now; contractors these days work for a bowl of soup at mostlmao...

2. I honestly envy you man; maybe you can tell me your secrets so i can fish every other day rather than working... lmao even harder...

for me my head has been spinning with scheduling; phone calls;estimates; and bull work... prepping for a slab to be poured tomorrow; emergency call til 1 am last week... a lot of other jobs going on with one coming close to the 1 year mark... and to top it off; i'm heading up north tommorrow to skin some steel roofing and plywood on a 12 on 12 pitch... when we bought in to the place 8 years ago i was not expecting this; regardless though; through all of the blood sweat and tears that have come along; the smiles outway it in the end... and there have been some good times in between; and yes; some fishing as well...

Mine promises to keep me in the style I'm used to.
Lucky I'm used to being poor.
At least she is young enough to do it.

panfish will blow you away !! take dry pancake mix, add some tasy beer to thicken it up and mix in filets.. get oil very hot and drop them in for about 2>3 min or golden puffy brown..

Outta this world..

I filet all the fish with an electric knife.. easy as pie, no bones..

Deer Camp::
Just a Quick few non blood photos from last weekend. Sat morning was in the 20's but wind made the day cold as hell.
Sun morning it was -5 but no wind and felt much warmer.

Once again the deer proved smarter then me and my party..
Yesterday we finally found a bunch of them in an area with a elevation drop of 600'.. Looking on a topo map the lines are VERY close together.. Our camp point is 1,875'.
I truly love that place..

Any camps best friend

Nothing like looking at trees.

Trusty rifle

-5 sunday morning sidewalk

Some frozen swamp water (Ice is here)

Yes there are deer here

When I was 10,  our house had one of those "toolsheds" . or add an "s"    No wonder I like camping and backpacking, it's an upgrade.   Looks like a nice piece of land, HT. I've always liked finding beds. Thanks for the pics.
