N.E.W.C.: Lake Erie Event

On Saturday, July 9th the N,E,W,C, will be holding thier Annual Summer Fest Walleye Tournament out of North East Marina, in North East Pa.

North East Marina is located about 5 miles from the N.Y. border.

This event is open to every one wishing to experience the tournament atmosphere. Most teams fishing the event use boats 16' - 21', however there is no size limit to the boat you may use, and anglers wishing to run their 30' boats are welcome to join in the fun.

As of right now, the fish are in font of the marina, and there are plenty of 5 - 9 pound fish cooperating. This is shaping up to be the best event yet.

This event is a 2 person team event, where you will be allowed to weigh in your 5 best fish. Fish do not need to be alive as there is no dead fish penalty.

Entry Fee for the event is only $ 260.00 per team, and this includes the big fish pot.

We will be at the marina from 5:30 - 6:15 pm on Friday evening to register teams that haven't allready sent their entry forms in, and then again at 6:00 - 6:45 am on Saturday we will be accepting entries.

In case of bad weather, the event will be run on the following day (Sunday).

Tournament hours are 7:00 - 3:30 pm, with the weigh ins being held right at the marina.

There is plaques, and prizes along with the prize money at this event, and we will have food and refreshments available for the teams also.

If you need more info about this fun and great event you can call me at (814) 362-1423, or friday I will be available at (814) 331-3112. Entry forms are available on our website at www,neweasternwalleyecircuit.com.

On a side note: Teams are welcome to keep their fish if they like, but we will again be donating all the remaining fish to the D.A.V. for their annual fish dinner to help them raise funds for our great soldiers needs. We are proud to be of help for this great cause!

I beleive there were around 30 that fished after the big storm from the night before.

Several teams opted to back out, and the director gave any team wishing to cancell 100% of their entry back. (Their were about 15 teams that cancelled)

    60 teams pays $ 5,000.00 for 1st place, and $ 1,200.00 for big fish.
