6 buoys custom rods

Any one own one? are they good to deal with? looking into getting custom his/hers flathead/blue cat/ ocean rods . Anyone know if they have a good selection of blanks guides and seats? A guy I work w just got one that they had sitting around for a couple years it looked nice but I wanted something a little nicer. Any other suggestions for custom rod builders?

6 bouys always have a few "project" rods laying around, usually they are willing to sell them pretty cheaply. if you actually have them build a rod for you then i'm sure the quality is better. i think they get their rod supplies from mudhole.com, so they can pretty much hook you up with any blank, guides, or reel seats that you would want.

I go in here quite often to pick up bait when i'm omw to Conemaugh or Loyalhanna dam and honestly I have talked to the guy's in there for about 2-3 hours in all the times i've gone in combined in the past 2 years, and although the ones he has in house are pretty lower end quality etc etc, he does always shoot in that he can get you w/e you want and build you w/e you want...  I was in there last fall and he was building 2 nice customs for a guy.  So I think it really comes down to a preference in to where you get your custom rods from.  As for quality or price... I wouldn't even take that into account since everyone knows a custom rod if you get a good blank (Gloomis, St Croix, Megabass) it's gonna cost you a good amount of money, and i'm pretty sure the ones he has in the shop move better then say if he had a $400 GLoomis sitting in the shop and that much money tied up waiting to sell it.

Loomis, I am not sure what the name of it is, but there is a tattoo and piercing store right next to it. Also before you come upon it there is a sign for live bait 1/4 mile. I usually get their night crawlers. They are very good. I think they might be some of the biggest worms I've seen compared to some of the bait shops around keystone lake.

Sorry I can't recall. I only get night crawlers. As stated previously, the guy that runs the place is super nice so he probably won't mind if you stop in and see.
