Slippery Rock Creek

Stopped briefly at slippery rock creek yesterday in the evening and had a real successfull time. Biggest smallie was somewhere between 13 to 15 inches. did not think there would be fish that large in Slippery Rock

Also surprised that I caught a rainbow trout. I figured by mid june, the trouts were all gone. The poor soul that I caught was hanging out in pretty swift water. He did swim away on his own power, but only after looking pretty dazed in confused.

funny that you mention that, as I did catch something that I thought looked liked a carp looking thing with a white belly and a grayish/blackish scales. it was only about 8 -10 inches long, but I had no idea what it was. perhaps it was a grass carp? I really have no idea.

Fished the creek a few days ago and was surprised by the tenacity of the slimy pebble's smallie pop. Even the 6inch fish put on quite a display. What a blast. My buddy even caught 2 rainbows. I didnt catch any over 15 but my 2 buddies did. Def. a good time.
