Cross Creek

This past Sunday went down to cc to do alittle bass fishing. had been there 3 wks ago and did pretty good. This past week was another story-noticed quite a few dead crappie and blue gill. Also all the weed growth in the lake looks to be dead. Was wondering if anyone out there had a theory.

    I would say it is the post spawn die off for the gills & Crappie.Happens every year to some degree from the stress of spawning. Are the weeds dead or just not visible yet? I know that due to the late cool spring the weeds in the lakes that I fish are just now developing,also normal. sam

    I imagine the water levels are still high out there as well so they might not be as visible. I've yet to get out there this year. I usually only go out there with my grandfather but he's been busy this summer.
