I'll stay home, you're gonna need all dat! Good luck!
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The closer we adhere to the Holy Bible and the US Constitution (as it was written) the closer we get to the model that made America great. The great American experiment worked, human nature just got in the way.

I thought the question was rhetorical , but if not , I would eliminate everything that duplicates itself . From personal experience fishing for Pike , there isn't a need for multiple lures that possess the same action or diving depth . For me , a wide variance in color isn't necessary because Pike are such aggressive feeders that it doesn't matter . That's my belief based on my experiences and no doubt others will not have the same opinion .

Good info, that's why I had some duplicates. I prefer natural colors in clear water and chartreuse in stained. Don't know what I'm going to run into. Besides I got all the believers on e-bay for $6. The swim whizz were hand me downs, as with some rapalas. I also have a big box of spoons not pictured.

If you are going with a guide or outfitter, I would call them to ask what thier suggestions would be for that area,Then pack several of them, also if you are going with someone else, they could do the same with different lures, then you could share. Also I assume that you have some wire leaders & insect repellant there. GOOD LUCK we will be waiting to see some picts. sam

basics are all you need for pike. for years i took all i was allowed to carry and only used 4 or 6 lures. swim baits with jig head, very versitle lure can be fished deep or shallow. spoons, i like dr. spoons, rapala, an ko wobbler in silver gold and copper, bring some colored prism tape to change the flash ex chartrues, orange, red etc. buzzbaits white is a top producer for me with black second. spinnerbaits afain white black or yellow. some bucktail spinners. floating minnow crank like a rapala 5" to 7" silver and gold. these have produced 80% of my fish up to 44" long. i take 2 or 3 rods and 3 or 4 reels. i also take a fly rod and love to catch big gators on flies. this can all fish in 2 plano trays and 1 box. these fish are not fish too hard and basic presentations usually take fish with no problems. however you will get times when things are slow and that when you slow down with jigs and a smaller bait. the main forage in those lakes are cisco, whitefish (silver or white) and perch (yellow and gold) I've also got some on a jig with pike belly skin hooked to it. fish will be shallow soaking up sun, at the mouth of any inlet, and necked down area, on the 1st drop off or any patch of weeds you can find. this is not technical fishing, its the number of casts and moving till you find the right conditions.

Nice info riz. The guide recommends single hooks spoons and some soft plastics. I got a box full of different spoons for 2 of us. Doctoc, gator, daredeveles, krocodile, half-wave. I'm bringing some slug-go, and lizards. I have swim whizz, believer, Giant thundersticks, giant flatsticks, jointed rapalas and minnowsticks, pikee, rapala silvers, rapala magnums, shad raps, among others. I was planning on 2 reels, as my dad is also bringing 2 reels. 5 rods between both of us.
