Bonus catch while smallmouth fishing

Caught this today while smallmouth fishing out in front of NE marina. Using a shad rap drifting and hooked into this guy. Wasnt expecting it at all and ended my day with a happy note. Not sure what it weighed because our batteries were dead on our digital scale but im guestimating around 15-20lb. It was 31 inches with the tail pinched. Havent caught a catfish in a long time and i forgot how agressive and powerful these fish are.

    I caught a Goby today that I swear was almost that big. Nice Fish!

    Nice fish but that looks like its a channel, not a flathead
