I'm not exactly sure how to spell it but I think it's "Nitti". There is a guy in St. Michael, PA (about 15 minutes from where I live) who makes the lures himself out of his little bait shop. I'm not sure if the guy is still around but I know of alot of people that use those little spoons for trout. I still have some of the larger ones that we used for trolling for steelies off downriggers. They are really long and slender and come in a whole bunch of colors.

I'm not positive but I think I heard somewhere he is deceased now.  His last name may have been Picola?

Pafisher:  I live right in Somerset.  He used to set up a booth at the Monroeville Outdoors show where he would show you the action the Nitti had by pulling it through a tub filled with water.

    Found this on line:
    Pcola's Lures

    (814) 495-5007
    516 5th St, Sidman, PA 15955

I have two of them and they work well. I heard the business was still going. I beleive his kids are still making the lures. As stated they still sell them at the Monroeville Outdoors show and I think you can order directly from manufatcure as well.

I'm from Ebensburg, about 20 miles north of Johnstown. I had no idea that little spoon was so popular. I have some of the larger ones, about 4-5 inches long, and the pike seem to like them.

I have pounded the largemouth in the bay when they are schooled up chasing emerald shiners on this spoon. It's a steelhead killer also, just take enough of them cause the heads really crush them...WF

I just received an order from them, the 1.5 and 2 inch are $2.45 each, or 6 for $13.98, the 3 and 4 inch are $3.19 each, they don't sell the 3 and 4 inch in bulk. John

thats a good fish, they are all good, some are gooder than others
