Mahoning Creek Outlfow and surrounding area.

Lookin to head up that way for Saturday and do some fishing, anyone have any live info on the tailwaters if they are even fishable or if it's one of the ACOE deals where you hear the horn you better move atleast 1-2' higher then you currently are?  And if it is, anything biting or would I be better off skipping there and heading to Lake Cloe and or Straight Run.

Haven't fished it in years, but if you go down stream a little there's a small dam.  Have caught walleye and SM there many times.

I know very little about the dam outlet (although I have Been there! quite the sight and Absolutely in the middle of Nowhere PA).. but I do know that far and wide the corp is starting to release water from their reservoirs.

surely Kinzua is NOT the only one. Be safe.--

PS. this is a handy site for judging water releases throughout WPA/EOH

    outflow forecast

& according to it, the outflow will see a dramatic increase in flow... (480->1960cfs)

Ya, just stared at the graphs in amazement and sadness was hoping to go up and score some opening day eyes =( Owell guess me and the gf are going to Raystown and then down to southern bedford for the day tomorrow.  ANd that musky is a nice monster... I've talked to a few guys who catchem in the stilling pool and I haven't had the "luck/skill" to catch one yet but my time will come.  And yes Jolie... It is in bumf**ked Egypt... But those normally are the best places to go fishing since it's so remote and outta the way no one will bother you... =)

Smack in the middle of straw-hat country.
They poach all of the fish and leave their road apples for everybody to walk in.

    Yes, we are still here!
