Crappie fishing is still decent in the lagoons at PI. Fished a couple days this week.

So...um. Forgive me, but I noticed that you have some striking similarities with someone else I have spoken with. With whom am I speaking today?

we fished the fingers at edinboro on sat and in the 2 hrs we had before the rain we put 12 or so nice crappies in the "keeper" bucket....the wednesday before we were at the boat rental in the lagoons and kept about the same amount but it took us several hours to do so....lots of throw backs

I'm not going to lie its been my best crappie year yet however, I think its because I focused mainly on them on some trips. They love those small white jigs they sell at the bait stores I have stocked up on them. Your best bet for crappies right now is the bayfront side of town at this point however, don't count out the lagoons as the bite can be hot and then not

Where exactly on the bayfront side do you mean? And what white jigs? The mini-mites?

Yep mini mights and any of the shallow areas and marinas. I just got home from being poured on the water is brown, luckily the marinas were clear and managed around 14 good sized slabs and quite a few smallies
