Which boat ramp to use at Presque Isle

Which boat ramp to use at Presque Isle

Can you suggest which ramp I should use at Preque Isle Bay. I have a 17.5 ft. flat bottom with outboard jet. My truck is a full size crew cab so the rig is pretty long. I'll be fishing the whole bay and probably not leaving the bay unless wind is minimal.

    Try the marina boat launch. I'm not sure if the docks are in, or if they even take them out. But most boaters with bigger boats launch from there.

    You can use that one as BH suggested or there is Chestnut St. launch on the city side. You can also use East Ave. launch which is also on the city side but out side the bay. Its a small jaunt over to the channel from there and yer in the bay. There is also the third parking lot as you first enter PI but with a long tailor it may be difficult always worth a try though.

    Know the wind and pick your ramp accordingly.  Flat bottom boat would be killer at Niagaria ramp with a south wind.

    A flat bottom jet is tough to use at PI unless the wind is light. Don't let people fool you, yes you can use it there, and you will probably be fine, but the bay gets rough and those style of metal boats take a pounding in the chop. \
