Bay boat ?

Guys,
What size boat is necessary for the bay ?  Would a lund 16 ft john with 25 hp be sufficient ?  Does the bay produce fish throughout the summer ?  Thanks for the help !

Funny I used to take my 14 1/2 footer in the lake and never had any problems.

That is an excellent boat for the Bay. Like bloody said, there will be times on the Lake when you have a nice south wind and the Lake is flat. (OF COURSE) you can't go too far incase the Lake start's to act up. If you have a marine radio and watch close you can get some time on the Lake. Although not very many days.

My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!

I trolled for and caught steelhead in the bay with a 12' jon boat yesterday. If the wind is under 10 and no bad weather is forecast small crafts are fine. Even still I make sure I know where all launches are and monitor my battery and gas usage closely. Ill have it on the bay through the spring.
