Big fish and huge numbers of them last weekend. I would fish pymie for crappie over anywhere right now.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

No pics sorry. Last Sunday I brought home 23 and all were over 10 inches. We lost and missed many more.

    Shallow.

I just received word from a writer that a 3.4 lb crappie was caught last weekend at Pymie. More to follow on that when I get the scoop.

Doesn't surprise me all that much.  That lake is amazing for crappie.

I picked up 14 slabs 11 -13.5 one day last week and 3  keeper eyes from 7:30 till 9:00. 20.5,19,17.5 inch(all males) and 4 shorties, eyes hit Raps and 1/8 oz twister tails, crappie hit minnows. 3 eyes came off a island and 4 off a sand bar. Wish I could have fished longer at night but I just got burnt out fishing all day for crappie. Then I had a 2 hour drive home!

Slower for me yesterday. Fished from 3 till 8 and brought home 10, only kept 10" or bigger. Had several throw backs and lost numerous others. Would have probably had around 17-20. Just couldn't keep 'em hooked today. Once the wind quit at 6:30 or so the bite totally shut off.

The shallow crappie bite I was on good last week completely died on Sunday. I've been having fun with a bunch of slab crappie this year waiting for the bass bite to turn on. I'm new to this crappie game. Normally I only bass fish. Did those crappie just shut down with the warm weather and increased fishing pressure or relocate?

I fished Saturday targeting slabs with zero hits. Tried near Linesville, causeway and a back bay near Jamestown. My timing is off. When the Shenango River is fishable I'm hoping the walleye bite is good.

chugbug they just relocated.  Happens every year.  Strong onshore bite than they go back out.  They'll be back. When I fish out of the boat I usually don't bother to target these fish, I get on them in deeper water and the bite will be stable until they move shallow to spawn.  Less effected by the changing weather patterns.
