elk stocking question

Hi everybody,I have never fished in erie area on the first day of trout,my son and i will be at uncle johns campground for the first day of trout. Question is ,do they stock trout by the campground? thanks

    From what I've been told they do stock the area by the campground. How many fish, I don't know. Elk does get stocked heavily though from Girard down to the mouth.

    Don't know if they stock there every year but 4 years ago while fishing for steelies in season there I was catching stockies.

    It's being stocked on the 15th.  Take a look at the link for exact spots it's being stocked.
