Oil Creek

Took the new rod for a walk on the DHALO section of Oil Creek today.
Got the big skunk on. Not even a hit..
Was kinda chilly guides were freezing and water was up a little.

    Happened to me at Neshanic Sunday. Where is the warmth?????

    Gary, you were oh so close to a nice stonefly hatch.
    Almost headed to the same place but decided to detour at the last minute.
    My new Mile Creek 2wt. got a nice work out popping midges and deer hair flies.
    Afternoon trout rising in 39 degree water.
    1-20+ brownie to boot.
    Wind finally killed the day.

    Hey, Guys. I'm new these forums and relatively new to fishing Oil Creek. I'm glad to see there's a little bit of online community in regards to NW PA fly fishing (seems it's hard to come by). I'm still somewhat of an inexperienced fly fisher, but hopefully I'll find some time to share some pictures/stories from my trips up to the area.




    I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it
