Thanks Rsquared...as long as their prices are cheaper when shipping is included then in makes sense...otherwise you have to go where the best deal is. A lot of helpful info on this thread though.

this is ridiculous.. you should be supporting you local bait/fly shops not trying to save your hard earned money.. insert sarcasm here.

geeze man, were you born in a barn?

sure hope you're agreeing with me and not trying to tell me where I should do my shopping.

YEAH! shaft local quality business and give your business to major corporations that can afford to give you the better deal! Screw the little guys, lets promote big business and lose all our local shops.

Understand that sarcasm tasty?

Every one of those large corporations started as a small business who knew how to provide products to customers at a price that they wanted.  This makes them a bigger corporation with higher buying power that allows them to provide even lower products.  It's called business.  If you don't understand that buy a book.

FYI cheech...I don't have a local bait shop.  The closest thing to me is Gander Mountain and it's 20 minutes away.  Save your factless ranting for someone who can't call you out on it.....

Now that you have proved you were a complete idiot....as well as a jew

I'm not debating how a business comes to be (which is a lot more complex than your little mind lets you believe)...I'm simply saying that I support local and small business.  I enjoy going to a shop where I can talk fishing and establish a relationship with the employees working there.  Not searching for hours on end on the internet for the lowest price I can find and then ordering it.

But in your statement you are telling me that local shops can compete price wise with large corporations? in todays economy? are you thinking before you type?  " This makes them a bigger corporation with higher buying power that allows them to provide even lower products."  Thank you for the third grade economy lesson...whats next you explaining the relationship between supply and demand?

Maybe you should by a book...or quit eating the **** pages....

It's all good...people have their own opinions.  Have fun at your local bait shop.  When you walk in tell them TastyTrout told them Gander Mountain rocks!
