fresh stockies are pretty stupid...thats why i love fishin for them...caught one on a cigarette butt once to prove it can be done...live bait (grubs, waxworms, mealworms, redworms, nightcrawlers) will work pretty good...powerbait or salmon eggs also will get em...ive also seen bread, corn, doughballs, velvetta cheese, anerican cheese, bologna, slugs, leeches, minnows (salted and live)...theyll hit just about anything

It's not how deep you fish...It's how you wiggle your worm.

My best was on floating marshmellows. Cheeze flavor.
That was the last time I fished with my dad. Herford Mamor Lake.
I do break from the fly rod every now and then.lol

Our thing at Herford when I was a kid was nightcrawlers on the bottom, but we used to rig them with a slip sinker about 2 feet from the worm and inject the worm with air so it would float up off the bottom. All kinds of methods and new baits came along over the years, including the power bait, but the blown up night crawler ALWAYS was effective.

for lakes, I use live minnows, roostertails and spoons. Worms as backup to when the minnows run out
