I need Ideas

I am building a donation rod for Casting for Recovery Breast Cancer survivors http://castingforrecovery.org/

This will be built on an 8' 4 PC 5 Wt Batson Blank Bark Blue in Color



I have a few thoughts but I thought I could get some more ideas from here

I am thinking a Weave of the Pink Ribbon???? Along with the name of the Org

Any Ideas

Throw them out I'm pretty much open to anything

    Definitely need some pink in the rod whether it is a ribbon or the rod guide wraps. Maybe have all of the writing in Pink?

    If you can somehow get the pink ribbon on the shaft it would be great. Def. Pink/silver in the wraps. Some of that pink/purple wood I gave you for the reel seat would make it pop.

    i don't know how you did the grip on the one fly donation rod, but what about a "ribbon" on the handle like you did the "O" on that donated rod...

    Save the TaTas is always popular, but i dont know how you'd incorporate that into the rod

    how about putting a pink thread wraps at the tip top?
    if this is going to a woman you might make the grip a bit smaller in dia.

    Good ideas all

    The rod might go to a woman or it might just go to the highest bidder at one of thew many fund raisers they have so I need to keep it Gender Neutral....

    Thats where I need some input

    I have a couple decals already Rick That was my first thought ...
    Now my head is spinning around the Partial Elyptical to form a Ribbon in the Grip with Pink Craft Foam

    Welll, Skipper you could make the grip and then incise it with a razor blade and the glue the craft foam into it.

    +1...I think that would be great too...with the pink ribbon somehow incorporated and glued on w/pink wrap...SHARP
