Good question.  The club stocks larger fish than the average state fish.

The club with the funds available stock both of the lakes four times a year.

Most of the money from memberships, tickets sales, donations, other than tag fish sponsors, goes to stock the fish. Also, some of this money goes to pay for the trophies and prizes on the day of the TLFA derby. The derby is open to all to participate.

If you join the club and catch 3 of the 14-19" fish at the going price for trout, you get your money worth. That is  not counting if you are lucky to get a tag which can be worth  $10-50. Also, the chance to brag to your buddies about catching a tagged fish.

    Fair enough??

Take that issue up with the people that throw the cans in the lake when they can't find anything else to do.

You are NOT the only person discussed about that problem. Give a call to Commissioners.

The reason why their is no trash cans is because of the animals they use to have them and they took them away from us i thought they should have something but people are to lazy to use them anyway

I seen that the other day. And while I was standing there looking at them a white POS honda came flying down the hill, barely braked, made a real hard right hand turn, just missing the telephone pole. He drove it like a rally car through the field and back up on the road and kept on going.

I get sick to my stomach when I go to Twin lakes anymore... Espically the lower lake or as I call it "The trout dump lake" People have no respect for anything and I honestly think that the country needs to either step up enforcement (Which is a joke because it won't happen because it's" POOR") or they need to allow people to volunteer to enforce proper trash disposal and even beable to ticket them... (Which also will never happen)  Even the top lake is kinda bad, I don't know how many times I find some idiots power bait cans or their beer cans or their empty hook packages or their Walmart worm containers or plastic bags, I mean is it really that hard to throw things away?  (Must be espically if you look at the sides of the roads within a 1-2mi radius of the park...)  What's even worse is when there are people there who have kids and the kids see them doing it so they grow up and probably will even repeat the process or even do worse things...

i swear about half the population of this state must like living in a pig pen. the amount of litter that i see when fishing or bike riding always astounds me. i always try to clean up litter when i come across it but it seems like for every person that picks something up there are 10 people that are too lazy to throw their crap away.

everybody should keep an eye out for that white honda, if anybody sees it get the license # and call the park police.

You should ride down Penn/Adamsburg road sometime anyone on this board should... You want to talk a dump... Even Pleasant Valley Road where there is a REAL garbage dump doesn't look like that... It's disgusting/pathetic and a real shame that people are as bad as they are...

Only the non "garbage trout dump" is Big bass I think, I know both are panfish enhancement but the "top" lake is the big bass lake, and they named it that in hope of creating a decent bass fishery, which don't get me wrong for dinks and small largemouth it's nice to go out with the 5lb or 6lb line and the UL and throw for them but there are better "Big Bass Reg" lakes out there.  I think the biggest i've seen outta Twin Lakes is a 3.5lb er... I could be wrong.

the upper and lower lakes are both considered big bass waters so you cant keep any bass under 15". look at the twin lakes biologist report on the fish and boat comm website, only 1% of bass caught during the last survey were of legal size.
