You should see the Iron Bridge down in Ford City. Yesterday the water was about 2 feet from the bottom of it.

They are letting alot of water out of Crooked Creek right now, which I don't really understand since the rivers are so high.

Crooked Creek lake is approx. 40' above normal right now & I would guess that they are afraid 0f getting more rain than they could handle if they don't let a lot out.I haven't been there yet,but I would bet that the water is up to the rest rooms if no over on the beach road. sam

I have a 16 ft deep v with a outboard long shaft motor. Can I fish that area safely without tearing up the prop? How's the walleye in that area? Thanks.

    Litl Dude,

The areas of the river from East Brady downstream to Pittsburgh are all fishable with the boat you described. Now upstream of East Brady (in So Clarion County) there are no more 'lock and dam' pools and the river drastically shallows out. There are navigatable channels, but they are increasingly shallow and there are a lot more rocks/riffles to play havoc with your prop. Most folks above EB go with the shallower boats and jet drives to avoid issues. There are a few stretches of river your boat would do OK on up there, but definitely would take some time to learn them.
The area in the pics are around Kittanning and your boat would be great around there, just watch for the shallow sand bars downstream of the small islands and some of the points.

Walleye can be found throughout the river but certainly take some time to figure out.
