hope you find your rod. I had a similar experience with a nice set-up a few years ago.

Best advice I ever received at a fly fishing seminar in the mid 80's was from Lefty Kreh.
He told us, "Always put your fly rod on the HOOD of your vehicle after returning from fishing. You'll never leave without it."
    Have'nt lost one since.
    Smart man, Lefty Kreh.

It is probably time to give up the quest and buy another one.

I bought another one that week and went much cheaper but an "OK" outfit. Hasnt caught nearly as much fish yet and doesnt balance as nice, but oh well. Happy to be fishing with whatever i use. Loved that rod/outfit though. Please keep ye rears open for that guy that found it, he may be happy bragging.?.

I hope whoever found it spreads the word, writes a note, leaves info at the bait shop...sumthin.
If I find a fly or an indicator that's one thing, but I can't imagine any fisherman finding that setup and not making an effort to get it back to the owner.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
