What the big secret ?

Reed Construction hides info on new Building for PGC. Seems like the PGC wants to keep a low profile on the building of their new building in Franklin. Reed Construction has removed all information from their site. This 2.5 million dollar building that was funded though the Growing Greener II fund is growing in interest. The funds where originally designed to improve wildlife habitat but instead are being used to build the employees of the PGC a new comfy building. In these hard times many sportsman and non sportsman are upset with how the tax payers monies are being spent. Grower Greener II is funded though tax payers monies. The PGC has again grown in popularity among license buyers. Since the commission has failed to update the sportsman (and tax payers) of how these monies are being spent, others including my self will. Picture coming soon.

If I told you the big secret, they'd be out to get you. Is that what you want ?

Some things are better off unknown.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

Not that I agree with it, but you can't build much of a building for 2.5 mil...

Let me refrase that, the state can't build much of a building for 2.5 mil...

I don't know what they have planned for the new building but I have been in the present one and will have to say it is starting to show it's age. Typically the state builds new buildings rather than remodelng as the average citizen does.

I read in the P.O.N. that judge really gave you the business for trying to use talk show rhetoric in your expert testimony.

Why do the ones that cry broke always seem to get the taxpayers money? The PFBC also needs money but I don't see them building a new office with my money.Id rather see my money go to fixing and improving our waterways or improving wildlife habitat instead of an office for PGC employees. No 2.5 million isn't a huge amount but I'm sure the total cost will exceed that. Pretty good for an agency crying broke. May as well buy everyone on welfare crying broke a new Caddy. Our crooked politician are always getting caught spending tax payers money for themselves and now the PGC ranks high on the charts as our crooked politicians. I guess if you really think about it the PGC is run by our politicians anyways.

Shock of shock here folks, I don't mind the PGC having a new, hopefully more efficeint building to work out of any more than I begruge them the equipment, including vehicles, that they need to get their job done.  I would rather see that money go toward a new building than toward warbler studies.

The poster formally known as Duncsdad

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Yep, bldgs. do become obsolete and sometimes the costs of renos. are almost as much as bldg. new and if you went the reno. route, you'd still have a 60+ year old bldg. (or whatever age the old bldg. was).

I am sure having to build to the new UCC (IBC) increased the costs quite a bit...
