I'll tell you what guys. I wish more of the P A E Ns would come fish with me. Last year KJ came here and I got lucky and popped a pig hen. This year norm was my lucky charm. Who's it gonna be next? I was very surprised on the size of the fish. Very girthy. Because of the cold temps the fish was pretty sluggish but did give one run. I honestly dont know how big it was because we never taped it. At first I thought it was an average fish but once he came in, that all changed. Really doesnt matter to be honest. It was big but not a giant. Fish came on the swing in a river that was too dirty for all the bait guys. We had the place to ourselves. Wish my buddy hooked into it. But hey, I aint complainin'. I got a good hero shot with it on my camera but I believe norm may have some better pics on his. I know he took a sweet upclose shot with the tube stuck in its mouth. He said he'll get them off his camera when he gets home maybe Monday or so. If he doesnt post them here I'll show off his nice camera work for him. All is blown here now. Its going to be a few days before I get out again.

Trying to guess the length based on your hand, I'd say that fish is a good 33". With some girth, it's gotta be around 15#. I know you don't care about that but it's nice to see cause they don't come that often. 12's don't come that often

Happy to see that the NY crew is checking in on me. Hope you guys get into some spring fish. Want to see more of Glens handy work with the camera. I know what day Bob is looking for, that being in June. Dano is probably to busy getting ready for dryfly fishn to worry about these steelhead. But if any of you guys want to make it out this way just let me know.

I am not sure that my fish was as big as Glens 33" 15# guesstimate. But a solid fish for sure. When norm gets his photos up we may be able to see the fish at some different angles and get a better guess. Busy at the bench replicating that fly. Nothing special fly. But boy have I caught a few fish with it. Original on the left with one of the replicas on the right. I used black thread to wrap the eyes instead of switching over to the wht like the original. Also used a smaller tube size as well. Eumer med instead of large. I highly doubt the changes will make a difference in performance.

Great fish swinger !!!  Sure is a great way to start of for sure. I need to bend a rod soon,its been awhile.
