Chilly Hands Brownies

Was 50 degrees when I got to the river this morning.
That didn't last long, wind picked up and the temp started to drop. Brrrrr.

Was lots of runoff from the recent rain made for a few good waterfall pics.

Did manage 2 Brownies and missed 2 more..The big one sure knew how to use the river and the current, he had me into my backing twice.

Got the skidder fixed and moved. But before I could even turn a tire the Forest Service shut the job down beacuse of the weather.

That fish had to be a good solid 24". You can sure tell them Brownies when you hook them. Right to the bottom and start shaking their head.

I have the next two days off and was planning to fish there tomorrow morning. Haven't been out since last fall with you hc and deetz. Hoping they dont increase the flow after all the rainfall, I will be sure to check the gauge before I go.

They're bumping the flow from 1420 to 5000 in a couple days. Wouldn't be surprised if its sooner.

Just checked the stream gauge for kinzua, looks like they did turn on the water earlier than they planned. Almost 7000 cfps right now.
