carp on jigs

While fishing at Mammoth Park to-day I caught my first Carp of the year on a 1/64 oz mini-foo tipped with a waxie.Gave the old St. Croix a workout with 4# line.I usualy get a few in the spring while fishing for trout & crappie. Needless to say Quite a surprise when they inhale that jgi. sam

    yep ive hooked into them fishing the pay lakes when fishing for trout on jigs single eggs power bait
    ive also seen guys catch trout with corn meal

    I've caught a couple on jigs also.I caught 1 on small bucktail crappie jig and the other on a jighead tipped with mealworms.I caught both of them on my 5' Fenwick UL and 4 lb test.

    I'm gonna fish more and work less.

    i caught one on a minnow on a jig head. surprised the hell outta me!

    this time of year seen a few caught on jigs while walleye fishing
    wanna see something funnny saw 7yr girl catch 28" carp on 3ft barbie pole using a fathead i u can pic that

    Caught one myself last summer at mammoth on a meal worm on a jig head right under that little bush that has a runoff pipe under.it I could see a few trout swimming in fast runoff and when I tried to catch one of those the carp ate it. Six lb braid light action rod. Also got one on a grass hopper under a float w my noodle rod and four lb flouro while bluegill fishing. He was sixteen lbs and thirtyone inches.

    I've caught several carp on tube jigs while smallmouth fishing the Susquehanna River.  I would not recommend using this method if your target fish was carp but green pumpkin tubes on 1/16 oz 3/0 jig hooks have worked on more than one occasion.
