Anyone fishing wilhelm? i wanna go out sunday and was wondering if i should do the dam end or the stumps?

    Evan, your permissions don't allow you to accept PMs, might want to change that.

    As for your ?...
    There's open water in a lot of places, but not accessible by boat yet as far as I know.
    The dam end has quite a bit open
    The inlet @ Dugans run - lots open
    channel under causeway - open
    Some open around all the inlet cricks.
    I'm guess the I-79 channel's open as well.
    Not sure about further north, don't venture up there on a regular basis.

    Had a better report for ya, but don't feel like retyping....

    Wilhelm is wide open & docks are in, at least at launch 1...

    How's the fishing at Wilhelm? No recent posts about it at all. Does that mean its a gimme that you catch fish there and there is no need to talk about it?

    Crappie are biting, but thats about all. Nothing seems to have "turned on" at ole Wilmy yet

    We fished Wilhelm for a couple hours yesterday and caught around 40 gills(not 1 crappie) all small except for a couple.I'm not complaining as they were our first open water fish of 2011.

    I'm gonna fish more and work less.

    Heard from a good source at lunch today the crappie are biting pretty good.
    Saw a 16.5"er that had been caught, nice fish.

    That's a nice Crappie,as big as the lake is there has to be some dandies in there somewhere.
