One hungry trout

Caught this same trout twice today.
Caught him the first time and then moved down stream.
Came back to the same area about an hour later and caught him again on the same lure.

When I was younger, I had a paper punch and would punch the fishes tails to see if I caught him again.Caught 1 rainbow 4 times on opening day. Couldn't punch him anymore cause he wouldn't have been able to swim away.A few years back, my wife caught the same palomino trout 3 times in 4 hours.{it was 21 inches so we knew it was the same fish}..WF

just imagine the next guy that caught it and was trying to figure out why it had 4 holes in the tail.  He probably thought he won a prize

Once while fishing the Allegheny just below the HP dam I caught a saugeye while wading in about 2 feet of water during the spring spawn.   While holding my fishing rod under one arm and holding the fish in one hand I removed the jig with a motor oil colored plastic worm with the other hand.    I dropped the jig in the water and admired the saugeye for a few moments noticing his snakelike sauger skin and his glassy eye and white spot on the tail like a walleye.  I didn't have him in my hands for more than a few seconds and dumped him back in the water.   Before I could get the rod from under my armpit this same fish hit the same jig I just released him from and I had to rerelease him.   During the middle of a spawn fish can be pure instinct.

Many moons ago, when Spring Creek had pretty heavy Sulphur hatches, I had on a decent trout that ate 3 or 4 more adult Sulphurs while hooked and coming to hand.

My story will sound kind of boreing after reading these, but I caught the same 18' male bow on opening day last year twice within a half hour.

I also caught a the same steelhead on back to back cast a few years back.

My buddy and me both (mouth hooked, not lined) the same steelie at the same time from opposite banks of the creek. That one was funny, I saw it eat my bait and then his before I could set the hook. We were disagreeing on who's side of the creek it was going to be landed on ! haha.

I was fishing for trout in one of the local streams and snagged a double barrel shotgun.

Me and a friend were fishing a lake next too each other. With two poles one with power bait and one jigging. When we each caught the same fish on putty. He caught it and as he reeled it in my line droped and when he landed it,sure enough my hook and his were in the trouts mouth .

My dad and I once caught the same fish at the same time, on two separate lines. We both thought we hooked into monsters. It turned out to be a small bass that gobbled up both of our baits within seconds.
