The Coyote Tree
I think I found where the PGC is getting their Yotes to stock. How would you like to have this in your front yard ? Saw it on the way to fish the river. Got to the river and as I got out of my truck a pack of yotes started talking up on the hillside. Was really cool to hear them dogs fire up. Could only manage 1 decent rainbow today. Mabee this warmup will get them on the feed better. The Coyote Tree.. No open water here yet.

I didn't count them but there were at least 6 more in the tree next to it.

i saw that pic on another site that deals with yote hunting. it was a young man that posted it. he said he had 1 yote hanging in the tree and the next day it was in the newspaper and was the talk of the town, so over the next couple days he hung every yote he got from the tree. more less to prove a point of how many yotes that are in the area. he had another pic of the yotes hanging across his porch.

Not sure if it was the same youngman Akita, but there was a kid up here who lived in Corry. He hung his yotes on the front porch and they really caught alot of grief over it. He lived right down town and the locals were kinda ****ed about him hanging those dead animals along main street for all to see...

There's a guy over by me that had to build a game pole, cause his tree wasn't big enough. LOL I'll see if I can get a pic later. Mike

Yeah, not the same guys. The guy that Bings is referring to in downtown Corry (Brock) is not the same guy as the tree picture...although they may hunt together. Or, the tree guy may be trying to be a bit of a copycat and stir the pot himself. It was pretty fun the uproar the first guy caused.

Good trip Bing, glad to see ya got a bow for your effort. Good tree pic too... ORIGINAL: fishin coyote There's a guy over by me that had to build a game pole, cause his tree wasn't big enough. LOL I'll see if I can get a pic later. Mike Mike, I think I know of the pole you speak of...out on Pettis? I'll get a pic this weekend if you don't, it would make the above tree look sparsely populated for sure! Last I saw they had around 18-20 hanging.... As I've said, the only good 'yote's a dead 'yote. We should all start a coyote tree.

Pork, I know of the people out on Pettis, also had a couple of bears a few years back. I believe they use coyote dogs with GPS collars and slaughter the yotes...

That's great. Thanks for the pics Mike. Just talked to the guy I know that hunts them a lot, they've got 26 this year. Said between his group, the ones above & 2 other groups he talks with (one venango county, one mercer county), they've got over 100 this year. 4 groups of guys, 3 counties....100 dead 'yotes! To all the 'yote hunters, keep up the good work.

LMAO.... everyone thought that photo was GREAT, but were automatically wondering if anyone would try to pass one off this week-end in a coyote contest some where ... ??? Lots of conversation tonight when I told folks about Mosquito Creek going to make winners take a polygraph test this year on Sunday ... We have a total of 215 registered hunters for our hunt... $1,075 for coyotes, (2) $300 cash drawings and 20 door prizes... should be another great week-end hunt !!!!

Its a sad day when the first thought is that some sportsman will cheat in a contest - hunting fishing, dog, etc.. Does it happen, sure. Does it happen often, absolutely not. By the way, i don't see any PGC or insurance company ear tags in any of those beasts. Did they remove them all be fore the photo? Just kidding.
The poster formally known as Duncsdad Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Supposedly all eastern coyotes have traces of wolf DNA. The fur has a value of $15-$25 around here but varys by year. Obviously these folks do nothing with them, except display the stinky things in the front yard. Might be rednecks.
