Rap, I'll have to respectfully disagree. But I'll share the lake anytime.
Plenty of ice gear...just drop me a line...you're always invited.

The 10 day I'm looking at has 5 days above freezing, and only 2 nights above freezing.
There's 14-16" of ice out there.
I'd bet my lunch money I'll be ice fishing for another month.

    Let mEe No, K?

thanks pork. my bud has been living on that lake for month and has been trying to get me out there. as for the ice, i know you guys will be on it in march. this has been a great year for icemen. the ice came early and stayed.

i really appreciate the offer. i think my ice days are over (maybe). stuff is all gone. btw, he was getting fish off of the jamestown beach last saturday. guess there were a lot of guys out in that wind.

I'll put my money on your theory Pork...mid-March at least...all this warm weather will do is remove the slush and snow off the ice making for a much nicer drag. But when the ice does come off...I want it off in one day so I can be spring crappie fishing the day after I'm done ice fishing. Then when spring crappie is done, I want Lake Erie to already be warmed to 70 degrees so the 'eyes will already be this far east! That's my plan and I'm sticking to it....

im hoping for the perfect storm....ice melts to 5-6inches and then gets cold enough to keep it around for a while more...thinkin i just found decent fishing on the bay after over a month of crap

It's not how deep you fish...It's how you wiggle your worm.
