i talked to this old old old guy once that fished for channels mainly in the winter. he mainly fished the mon. i can't remember where exactly. he would get chicken nuggets from mcnastiness and use those in halves. he said he didn't catch the big ones but he was eating them so the smaller ones were fine.
i use their nuggets for carp and bullheads. i never caught a channel on them. though i never fished with them in the winter and i've never fished any of the 3 rivers.

A large number of the biggest catfish caught come in the colder the months, especially further south. In Pennsylvania it's usually the case that they aren't be targeted that time of year, which is why you don't hear much about it. If you can find the fish, you can definitely catch them.

Hi Russ, found where the big channels are hiding. This is Jason, next time you go fishing out there try the other side at the bench. Use big blue gills or chubs. Good luck.

Hey Jase. Welcome to the board. I knew it would only be a matter of time before you would find them. Any size?
