Colonel Fuller Wet

Good to be back at the vice again to escape..... Been away from home while family health situations developed. Kind of rough going. Anyway - this morning I followed D. Bastian's lead of his "Fuller Flower".......

    Great photo! The JC really sets it off. The flower looks like a pimped out mickey fin. Very nice indeed.

    Thanks for the comments. It's funny how sitting over the vice can calm me. A family member underwent chemo this past week while I was away for work. I needed to be two places at one time but just couldn't. I don't get it. We have 3D TV, phones that we carry in our pockets that can send pictures all over the world immediately - the technology is never ending and constantly progressing. But we cannot find a cure for this disease????? Enough already!!!! I apologize for the vent. Just hate to see people suffer. So I sat down this morning and made this for Sis - a truly courageous woman.

    I don't tie flies, but that doesn't mean I don't really appreciate it for the art form it is...
    I always watch these fly tying threads just to enjoy the beautiful works you fellows build. What you have created is just simply gorgeous!!! and as beautiful as the pic is I doubt it does justice to the original
    I'm very sorry to hear about the family problems, the frustration is understandable and I am glad you are able to find at least some form of peace in your work at the vice. I think Sis will love it.

    My best wishes to you and your family. Funny thing is I was just in Ecuador and the Galapagos, where cancer is practically non-existent amongst the native tribes of the amazon valley. Maybe it's technology thats preventing the cure! With all the radioactivity, pollution, and other contaminates so abundant in our everyday lives it easy to overlook them. But being in healthcare, I see the advances we are making every minute to help eradicate this disease.

    Nice tie! Hope she enjoys it too!

    Beautiful tie and beautiful photography. Funny how a simple thing like tying can be so therapeutic.
