No drug problem here. Catfish are great fighters, you fish for them in the summer (no ice, no snow, no frozen lines, etc...), there are no crowds of yinzers loosing their **** minds over the steelies, etc... It is a quiet, peaceful and comfortable fishing.

guys,
i thought u could sense the sarcasm to my post by my screen name, but apparently not haha. sorry for misunderstanding! i would rather hunt musky or catfish anyday over steel

Muskies are great fish and I love to fish for them as well. I agree with musthuntmusky they are a lot more fun than steelies. You don't get as many, but when you do, it is really a rush. Nothing like 20 lbs of PO'ed fish that has a mouthful of sharp teeth to get the adrenaline flowing...

agree 100%. nothing like a warm summer evening, a ballgame on the radio, perhaps some music, a cup of coffee and watching rods in anticipation. latern light is always mystical, the dark exciting.
that being said, i love steelhead fishing when i can, the time of year and the scenery in the fall is breathtaking. i also love throwing raps for smallies in late summer, wading for eyes in the spring, throwing jigs and whatever for crappies and just about every other kind of fishing. i even love back casting into trees on neshannock creek.
i fish to escape. but as bug said, catfishing is a really peaceful endeavor. and it is easier on my back these days.

all fishing should be a peaceful time,even if surrounded by nimrods...just find a "happy place" and tune them out...once fishing (for anything) becomes stressful,ill take up something else
