1/15/10

Tough day fishing,cold and snow all day.Caught four small ones and that was it.Chased a monster from under an ice shelf but he was spooked.They dropped water to 285 and I don't think that helped.Screws in boots worked-just have to add some more. Ice Off Paste also worked,greatly increased the time before icing of guides.Saw a couple of hook ups but nothing great.

    You did good Pete lots of guys dont catch 4 of anything- Nice job.

    Thanks retired. Really want to get better with fly rod but I think that might have to wait til spring.Are most of the guys on spin gear using floats or just bottom bouncing? Did both with equal results but got hung up more without.

    You fished in the toughest condition - low gin clear frigid water..
