    Who ,besides the hunters ,are going to be willing to pay for the privilege of managing the herd?
    What is the cost/deer to have sharpshooters control the herd?

    I don't know that either. 
    I do know that a local sharpshooter(LO officer) has 142 kills under his belt so far this season.  Hunters ain't gettin it done, thats for sure.  It would be kinda rude to ask him what he is being paid, though.

    If he's being paid by a municipality(ies), the tax payers of that/those communities have a right know.

    Don't ask the sharpshooter. Ask the agency who is paying him. That would not be rude.

    Not to sound rude(lol) but I really don't give a hoot about how much they are paid.
    I have way more important things to worry about.  Especially during deer season.
