High point lake
My 3 buddies and I were on the lake by 10:30 and fished till 4:30, when we got to the lake the wind had to be blowing at least 20 mph. It was very difficult trying to manage 15 tip ups. Had at least 8 flags but they were all dropped, ended up only catching a few small perch and some little gills...was very surpised how low the lake was!

It's been drawn down to try and kill some more weeds. They were calling for a lot of wind for today and tomorrow at least so I never even bothered going up there. Hopefully I'll make it up there Wed. or Thurs. if the winds die down.

How much ice? Will this warm weather coming kill it all or is there enough to sustain?

fish commission website said high point had the better part of a foot of ice the week before christmas. i doubt this little warm up will do to much. chestnut ridge/ acme dam has almost a foot as of monday and it's nowhere near as high in elevation.

I was there on 12-23 and there was 2-4 inches with slush on top and rotting.

I was there (HP) this morning and only measured the ice at one hole but it was 11 inches on my tape from the bottom of the hole to the water level. It was not all good clear ice but there should be plenty even after this warm up. Seemed like a slow day for all. I only had 2 flags from 8 till 2 and landed one short pike. There were over 20 fishermen out and no one seemed to being to well.

I was at Acme this afternoon and measured anywhere from 5-7" of ice. Fishing was slow.
