New to icefishing

Thinking of giving icefishing a try, I fish but not hardwater. Should I get cleats?

it wouldn't hurt (unless you fall)  to have a pair especially in the late season when you get a little rain it turns the ice and snow into a skating rink. Don't use them very often but when you do they are priceless. And I agree with eyeassassin it is very addictive.

might as well get them if the ice is smooth...they are 20 bucks....they could save your****..from pain, and maybe a wet foot on slippy ice.

Thanks. I guess I'll get a pair, like Bull said $20. I was in****s looking for a rod combo, nothing. I actual need just about everything. Maybe I'll place a order with Fish Usa. Just wanted it fast.

check craigslist, you can sometimes find good deals on ice tackle there. http://www.fishusa.com/HT-Enterprises-Jig-RodReel-Combo-EGL24_p.html, i have a couple of those rods, not bad at all if you dont want to spend a lot of $$$.
