conneaut lake

 Talked to drill4gills today. said south-end ice was all-but broken up.. Wind had blown it all to the docks..  just a lil heads-up in case anybody was wunderin..    NW/

    Went to the boat commision launch this AM. Wind sure took a tool on what was there...but it appears to be skimmed back over (it was dark, so I could not see very far out). I took a couple steps off the launch and it seemed to hold me without cracking about 20 yards out. It was 4:AM and I was not going to go far without my picks and spud. I will drive over at lunch and get a more accurate report. Looked like it had snow on it as far as I could see -

    The lake is forming ice  again.. sat. mornings temp. was 5*  It looked like very little snow on the ice..   Maybe Christmas day  outing..    NW/

    take this with a grain of salt , but i was told yesterday that the north end had 2 - 4 in with 6 - 7 in on the south end, dock deicers keeping ice open around docks don't get to close to them

    Next time turn those fishfinders "ON" should improve your findings..      NW/

    Conneaut Lake fishing was the WORST day ever for me yesterday. 4hrs. fishing and not a bite. Fished 4-6-8-12-15 foot water both at the condos and fishermans beach (south end) Two guys with some kids did catch 1 pike. They had 15/20 tipups out.
