Legal in Pa

A question was asked if it is legal in the state of Pa to blaze a trail through 3ft deep snow with a snowmobile past all of your tree stands. In hopes that the deer would start to use this path of least resistance.

    Only on private ground. No law says you can't provide a trail nor for human or game in snow or on bare ground. Most public land prohibits the use of snowmobiles. Some state game lands do open trails after regular firearms season but don't risk it. WCO's can always find a reason to fine you.One reason would be that you went off the designated trail.

    The trick is to cut trails through brush in the summer. Cut them right past your stand. By fall, the deer will be using them regularly.

    Wear orange, make sure you don't smell like a food source or drop an apple core, no fuel additive in the snowmobile that smells like a food source, check the area thoroughly for any baiting, do not make a blind out of sticks and stuff, be at least 8000 yds. from a road, make sure there are no smashed apples or acorns in the tracks of the snowmobile,and carry your drivers license. I am sure I missed something.
