KJ, Nice clean looking fish, cool fly. Going to tie a few intruder style this weekend. Really like the black, silver, chart. look. Glad to hear you got a pull on the little tube I gave you. Tubes are fun, but addicting to mess around with. Just ask swinger.

Sorry about your truck. Hit a deer about 5 years ago coming home from the Catt. $5800 to fix the front end.

Nice fish. First pic reminded me of a jaunt I took last Dec. up Rt. 79..... Bad memory on that one.

Now that would have been a sight. I can only imagine had someone been in there.

Was it Friday? I took a drive down there Friday afternoon while working and pointed out to my buddy it looked like someone bounced off the g rail coming in.

    (sorry... i missed this)

yeah... i think that head could handle more T-10
    if i went to a 15' 280or290g ... no question

T-14 or T-18? not sure... the intruders i were using weren't huge and didn't have a ton of weight
i know my homemade skagit at 22'(ish) and 270-275g will handle a super sink poly leader and a small (trout-ish) fly

what flies are you looking to fish?
how big are the tailwaters? shooting 20-25ft is not bad on this rod... fishing like 65' from my feet

    thanks,
Kinzua tailwaters and browns and bows and things.

From 5-6" feather winged flies to bucktail/clousers and bunny flies. Stuff that imitates the fingerling bows through the summer.

SA makes the skagit extreme with an integrated tip and intergrated running line...
    http://buy.scientificanglers.com/lines/spey-lines/skagit-extreme-with-integrated-tip.html

this would be nice if you don't want to mess with tips or if you fish a consistant flow and similar flies
i'd be a bit suspect of using the lower end grain wt of a give tip category... ie same tip for the 280g and 400g seams a bit off
