My Thanksgiving Morning

It's been a while and it felt good to get sit down at the bench for a bit. My first full feather.....

And to all - Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the day!

From the neighbor...I got tired of the stinkin bird makin fun of me and callin me overweight every time I walked in

I got the macaw off of John Mclain last weekend at the Somerset show. The hook's a 6/0 Harrison Bartleet. The pattern is the Evangeline with a few changes since I didn't have any Indian Crow sub for the front veiling...and instead of putting the Blue Jay underneath - I used it as a cheek. Oh well ....sometimes I guess I just have to make the best (or worse) of what's in the bin.

Beautiful pattern, one question though, maybe stupid; does the reverse side look the same, or is this pattern only for mounting in a frame.....jim

Bear - without taking it out of the frame and showing ya - there is a slight difference on the other side with the veiling. That's the challenge I always have - making both sides even. And yes - for me - I spend too much time on 'em to tie them on a leader and make a cast - probably hanging it in a tree somewhere.
