LOST FLY BOXES

A lot of reports about lost fly boxes on fishing reports, first they should refer to this sight, and secondly they should realize that fly boxes have a place to fasten a lanyard, why anyone that fly fishes don’t use this is beyond me, my fly box has an estimated over a hundred dollars worth of flies in it and have dropped it many times especially in cold weather only to be saved by a lanyard.

My fly box doesn't have a place to fasten a lanyard, so you shouldn't assume that all of them do.  Granted it's just a cheap box from my local fly shop, but still.  Just Sayin

Whether or not you have a lanyard, take a minute and slap one of the address labels that the VA and other agencies are always mailing out asking for donations. Over the past 7 years I have found 4 boxes and I have only found one owner to date.

You also could at least write your name and address on the box with a sharpie. If an honest person finds it you should get it back.
