2009 PA Annual Wildlife Report

After 10 years of HR, 13 out of 22 WMU's still have regeneration rates of under 50%, but only 2G was rated as poor with at 40% while 5C was rated as fair at 26%. Go figure!!!

Here is a link that should work.

You left out the best part. after all this time and all the extremes, only ONE unit is rated as good. The same number that was rated as good when it started in the first place!

I think I can top that. The unit that was rated as good in 2004 is now rated as fair and three units that were rated poor in 2004 now are rated as fair even though the percent regeneration is lower than it was in 2004. I would just love to have Dr. R. testify under oath and explain how they use forest health to establish antlerless allocations when there is no rhyme or reason to the ratings of forest health.

Oh, but of course. That makes perfect sense.

    RSB,
Would you please explain why forest health in 2G is still the only WMU that is rated poor for forest health even though it has the lowest DD in the state. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving
