Centerpin Information

I was introduced to centerpin fishing on the Salmon River earlier this week and would like to learn more about it.  I had a guide and used his equipment and his line rigs.  So, I would like to learn about which are the best, affordable rods and reels and how to rig the center pin lines with the various sizes of split shot down the line.

Any input would be appreciated.

Here's a link that will give you all the information you are looking for and some that you will never use. As for reels I would think most of the guys on here will push you towards a painefalls reel. Thats what I run and the customer service is the best I've ever encountered. As for rods its all in what you want and what you'll be fishing for. If you have any questions feel free to pm me I'll be glad to help you out.

Get an Okuma Sheffield reel,Wild rivers,11'6",rod from bass pro$100,all you need to battle any steel for around $250.Nothing wrong with a Painesfall reel,it won't catch you more fish for more money.just my opinion.

I knew Dingle would rear his ugly head right out of the shoot.

One fish, two fish. Red fish, blue fish.
